영어회화, Will you return lost wallet to owner?

Today we will talk about your honesty!

1. Have you ever accidentally found money or valuable items?

or Have you ever retrieved something lost due to someone's report?

- Back in 2021, I was really druken at this time, so I lost my cell phone which was iPhone8.

This cellphone was really valuable because there are importatn phone book and memoriable pictures.

unfortunately I didn't back up all my pictures. 

So I was really disappointed when I lost my cell phone so I bought new iPhone.

but few days later, I got call from bus company that they found cell phone in bus.

they want me to come to check if that is mine so that I got there and found my old phone.

 

when I found my cell phone, it was a little bit broken on screen but I felt relief.

It is like I found my treasure by any chance.

since I went through this situation, I think that If I have any lost items on street, then I will try bring it back to owner.

 

 

 

2. Let's imagine, you found a wallet while walking down the street, Inside, there ar e 30 million won and there's no business card or identification that can confirm the owner.

what would you do with that wallet in this situation? will you try to find the owner or keep it for yourself? 

- I deeply think about this questions and my answer is I will take money and give items back to owner.

this sounds doesn't make sense against first question. but my point is this.

I know this money is really big amount but there is no name tag. I think this is chance which god helps me.

 

I know this is ileagal but hypotheically if there is no evidence that somebody know I took money from wallet. then I will take it and bring items back to owner becasue this item could be really mermoriable or valuable items for owner but not me.

 

 

 

3. If you acted honestly, would you say you helped with a pure heart or expect some sort of reward from the other person?

- For this question, my answer is half and half. I believe that people should help to each other because I think human is imperfect. So I thinks we need to help each other so fill up our not enough ability or situation with others help.

but As human being, I will expect some sort of reward in my mind but no show it to anyone.

If I have reward about my help then It could be really good motivation to help other people
