[제 24강] OPIC 패션, 쇼핑 관련 질문

다들 옷이나 쇼핑 좋아하시나요?

오늘 OPIC 시험을 위해서 공부할 주제는 패션, 쇼핑 관련 질문입니다.

쇼핑이라는 주제는 누구나 쉽게 고를 수 있는 주제이다 보니 12개의 서베이 중에서 쉽게 골라서 준비할 수 있는 주제라고 생각됩니다.

 

그럼 오늘도 OPIC 시험 준비를 위한 예상문제와 예상답안을 함께 공부하도록 하겠습니다.

I shop at different locations for shopping. There are many shopping centers in Korea and most of there are on a busy street with a lot of foot traffic. So it is usually full of people all through the year.
One of places that I usaully go shopping is a department store. There is one department store near my place and on the first floor, there is a huge open space where you see lots comfy chairs and sofa to take a rest. They are great for sitting and relaxing.

This place is great for shopping because it has a variety of items like electronics, clothing, and accessories. Plus I love their food court on the basement and they serve various types of food like Chinese noodle, Japanese sushi, American style pizza and hamburgers.
They also have a lot of promotions going on so I often go there to shop.

첫 번째 질문에서는 얼마나 쇼핑을 자주 가는지, 어디로 쇼핑 가는지 물어보는 질문입니다.

첫 질문은 쉽게 예상답안을 준비할 수 있는 질문으로 1분 30분 동안 말을 해야 하는 답안을 준비해야 합니다.

 

1주에 몇 번을 쇼핑하러 가는지, 누구와 가는지, 어떤 것을 주로 쇼핑하는지에 대해서 준비해서 답변하기만 해도

1분이라는 시간이 순식간에 지난 갈 수 있습니다.

예상 답안에서는 내가 자주 가는 백화점에 대한 구체적인 묘사를 통해서 답변을 준비했지만 평소에 기억하기 쉬운 답안을 준비한다면 나의 경험을 바탕으로 내가 실제로 어떤 제품을 구매하는지에 대해서 준비하면 자연스럽게 답변할 수 있는 답안이 됩니다!

I went to the one close to my place which takes me about 10 minutes by bus.
I stopped by to check out some books on the 6th floor. There is a huge bookstore where you can see lots of comfy chairs and table.
I sometimes spend my free time there doing things on my computer and reading books.
Last time, there was a huge promotion going on for bestselling books.
So I bought some novels from best sellers and checked out at the chashier.
It has been a while since I bought books so I was happy for what I hought.

 

두 번째 질문은 최근에 쇼핑을 언제 했는지, 어디에 어떤 걸 사러 갔고 누구와 갔는지 경험을 물어보는 질문입니다.

앞서 첫 번째 질문에서도 경험에 대해서 말했지만 이번에는 마지막 쇼핑에 대한 구체적인 경험을 말하는 게 포인트입니다.

내가 구매했던 물건이 어떤 물건이었고 이 물건이 왜 필요했는지 설명을 하고 친구 또는 가족들과 함께 쇼핑을 가서 함께 고민한 내용을 적고 다른 브랜드와 비교하면서 결국에는 내가 원하는 제품을 구매할 수 있었다 는 답변으로 이야기하면 좋습니다.

예상답안에서는 백화점 내의 서점에 가서 소설책을 구매한 내용을 준비하였으니 참고하셔도 좋습니다!

Last time I went to the bookstore in the department store
There was a promotion going on for some novels and fictions so I bought some books and spent some hours reading other books at the table.
I came home later in that afternoon and I found that I left them in the store.
I remembered that I left them on the table when I read the book.
I called the store and asked if there was anyone found my books but they said there hadn't gotten anything lost and told me to call me later if they found them.

I was little worried but fortunately they called me like an hour later and said one customer found them on the table and retruend them to the information desk. I was so happly to found them back.

 

마지막 질문도 두 번째 질문과 같이 경험에 대해서 묻는 질문입니다.

과거에 쇼핑했을 때 문제가 생긴 적이 있는지, 그 문제를 어떻게 해결했는지에 대해서 물어보는 질문입니다.

예상답안에서는 책을 구매했지만 서점에 두고 와서 전화를 걸어 다시 찾을 수 있었다는 내용이었습니다.

이처럼 분실한 경우 또는 제품 하자에 대한 컴플레인을 했던 경험을 준비해서 답변하는 게 좋습니다.

다른 예상답안으로는 백화점에서 옷을 구매한 후 집에 가서 확인하니 작은 먼지(Dirt)가 묻어 있어서 

전화를 해서 컴플레인을 했고 그 결과 환불(Refund)을 받았다는 스토리라인을 만들어 답변을 준비하는 게 중요합니다.
