[Brave New World] Do you want to be savage who have freedom or Happy Civilian without freedom?

Hello everyone 

 

Recently I've read [Brave New World] written by Aldous Huxley.

This is one of the famous dystopia novel so I want to introduce this book to everyone also want to talk about some topic from this book.

1. Which person are you between Challenger(Bernard) and Comforter(other lower caste) who prefer to be in comfort zone?  

 

- Since I turn aroud 20 years old, I'm always Challenger. because when I was twenty, I always was trying to do new things. especially I want to live in abroad. 

so I found some ways to get a job in The U.S. afterthen, I met many diverse type of people in America.
when I made deicision which I will go to abroad, people around me said I don't have to go. even they said something adverse stuff to stop me going to abroad. 

even though these obstable which make me stop, at that time I thought I need challenge to grow up and jump to next stage of my life.

 

So If I have to Choose who I am between Challenger and Comforter, I could say I'm Challenger

 

 

2. Which one do you want to choose between Happy(other lower caste) and Free(John)?

 

- It's quite difficult question. I thinks It's depends on which situation I'm in.

but now, I want to choose "Free" like John in book. while I'm going through my life, I exeperineced many things by my own deicision. 

I think these decision makes me much more special then other. I guess "different" could be better then "special".

I know sometimes If I have wrong choice, It would be disappoint and miserable.
but overcome disappoint and miserable also could be part of life and it would make my happiness bigger than other normal happiness.

 

on the other hand, when I looked for my job, I really wish that somebody just give me job and want to be happy without any worries and burden like eating Soma drug in books

but now I think that just happy with eating Soma like every people is not what I want.

so I will choose "Free" for this qeustion.
